LPN

We are looking for caring, full-time, part-time, or PRN, second-shift LPNs who are passionate about providing compassionate, high-quality nursing care to some of the world's wisest people. For the residents they look after, these nurses become an essential part of their lives. It requires a combination of technical expertise and interpersonal skills to be an LPN at Pleasantview. About Us: Pleasantview is a Five-Star facility that welcomed its first residents in 1958. We are a faith-based, not-for-profit, small-town, caring community. Our recently remodeled buildings house 50 skilled nursing beds, 16 dementia care rooms, and 28 assisted living suites. The community also includes 57 independent living units.

Job Requirements and Responsibilities: 

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Assess patient health conditions, monitor vitals, and update Electronic Health Records (EHR).
• Collaborate with doctors and other healthcare professionals to develop optimal treatment plans.
• Provide emotional support and education to patients and family members.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment, following infection control protocols.
• Coordinate the work of Certified Nursing Assistants.

Work Hours: We have full-time, part-time, and PRN 2nd shift positions available. 2nd shift is from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM.

Compensation: pay ranges from $23 to $40 an hour, depending on experience

Qualifications and Skills: We are looking for nurses who:

• Exhibit strong clinical skills
• Demonstrate excellent bedside manner
• Collaborate well with CNAs, other nurses, doctors, and administrators

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

• Must be an LPN—new graduates are welcome
• Active Iowa licensure
