FVI School of Nursing and Technology is seeking an experienced Nurse to lead the Practical Nursing Program at its Miami Campus.
Responsibilities
- Conduct classroom learning activities and deliver classroom instruction.
- Monitor and evaluate faculty effectiveness through classroom observations and performance reviews.
- Oversee daily operations of the practical nursing unit, ensuring smooth functioning and adherence to standards.
- Address and resolve concerns and issues raised by faculty and practical students promptly and effectively.
- Track and review the progress of practical nursing students with faculty and success coaches, providing necessary support and interventions.
- Deliver high-quality instruction to practical nursing students, ensuring engaging and effective learning experiences.
- Conduct follow-up with practical nursing graduates, providing guidance and coaching for NCLEX exam preparation.
- Conduct faculty orientation and follow-up on their performance through classroom observations.
- Advisement for practical nursing students on academic, attendance, behavioral issues, and compliance.
- Ensure all clinical records, skills checklists, student clinical evaluation tools, and other clinical assignments are completed and maintained appropriately.
Educational Requirements and Experience
- Active and encumbered licensed Registered Nurse in the State of Florida.
- BSN required; Master’s degree in nursing preferred.
- Active BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
- Three or more years of teaching experience.
- Three or more years of clinical experience.
- Experience in nursing education administration.
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
