Job Title: Full-Time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Hospital-Affiliated Setting ( Phoenix, Arizona )

Job Type: Full Time

Work Hours: Monday - Friday: 9 AM-5 PM

Compensation: $120,000.00 - $150,000 per year + benefits 

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will be responsible for providing direct patient care under the supervision of registered nurses (RNs) and physicians. You will assist in administering medications, monitoring patient conditions, performing routine clinical tasks, and ensuring that patients’ needs are met with compassion and efficiency. Your role will be crucial in ensuring smooth operations in patient care units and maintaining the overall health and safety of our patients.

Job Duties:

  • Patient Care: Provide direct patient care under the supervision of RNs and physicians, including monitoring patient vital signs, assisting with activities of daily living, and providing comfort measures.
  • Medication Administration: Administer prescribed medications as directed by healthcare providers, ensuring accurate dosages and adherence to medication protocols.
  • Wound Care & Dressing Changes: Assist with wound care, dressing changes, and other clinical procedures, as needed.
  • Patient Monitoring: Regularly assess and monitor patients’ physical, emotional, and mental status, reporting any changes or concerns to the RN or physician.
  • Documentation & Charting: Maintain accurate patient records, documenting patient interactions, changes in condition, and any other pertinent information in the electronic health record (EHR).
  • Patient Education: Provide patients and families with education on treatment plans, medications, and general health management, promoting wellness and self-care practices.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with RNs, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to deliver coordinated care and address patient needs in a timely manner.
  • Infection Control: Follow hospital infection control protocols and ensure a clean and sterile environment in patient care areas.
  • Assist with Admissions & Discharges: Support the admission, discharge, and transfer processes, ensuring that patients are comfortable and well-informed at every stage.
  • Emotional Support: Provide emotional support to patients and families, offering comfort during difficult times and ensuring that patients feel heard and respected.

Qualifications:

  • Current LPN licensure in the state of Arizona
  • Completion of an accredited LPN program
  • 1+ years of experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse, preferably in a hospital or acute care setting (new graduates are welcome to apply)
  • Strong knowledge of nursing procedures, medication administration, and patient care techniques
  • Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and basic computer applications
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport with patients and colleagues
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Knowledge of infection control protocols, patient safety measures, and hospital regulations
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
  • BLS/CPR certification required; additional certifications such as ACLS or IV therapy may be preferred, depending on the area of care
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus but not required
