This position operates within an outpatient office setting, allowing for the flexibility of remote work. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough ongoing assessments to identify and understand the specific needs of each patient, ensuring tailored approaches to treatment.
• Maintain open and clear communication with supervisors, direct care staff, families, guardians, and other involved parties to relay progress and treatment strategies.
• Create and submit a preliminary schedule that includes appointments, home visits, and relevant observations to supervisors, ensuring accountability and tracking of client progress.
• Coordinate and perform home visits for comprehensive assessments, including chart reviews, staff interviews, and necessary data analysis.
• Oversee the execution of treatment plans, ensuring they are implemented effectively and yield positive outcomes for clients.
• Engage in Interdisciplinary Team Meetings and other essential meetings to collaborate on patient care pathways and multidisciplinary strategies.
• Document and complete monthly and quarterly progress notes that reflect client status and treatment modifications.
• Organize and lead training sessions to ensure all team members are well-equipped to implement program plans and understand documentation requirements.
• Provide ongoing follow-up to clients through interviews, home visits, and observations to guarantee continued support and fulfillment of their needs.
• Maintain up-to-date records and documentation to ensure accessibility for authorized parties and compliance with legal standards.
• Act as a liaison within the community, building relationships and supporting initiatives aimed at enhancing mental health development goals.
• Contribute to the development of procedures and training materials aimed at improving program effectiveness and client satisfaction.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Licensed Professional Counselor at Riverwoods Academy, you will have the unique opportunity to work with a diverse client population, including both youth and adults. Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a closely related field is required.
• An active, unrestricted licensure as an LPC in the state of Kansas is mandatory.
• A minimum of 2 years of professional counseling experience, ideally in a clinical environment, is essential.
• Strong knowledge of best practices in counseling, including ethical and legal standards.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to effectively connect with a wide array of clients.
• Ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, exhibiting a team-oriented attitude.
• Familiarity and proficiency with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) software and associated technologies.

Preferred Experience

• Specialization in family therapy, couples therapy, substance misuse, or trauma-informed care is highly desired.
• Previous experience in an outpatient setting, providing direct therapy to diverse populations.
