Full-Time Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) - Remote - Outpatient Setting

Position Overview

The Hillsdale Behavioral Health Center is seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our team as a full-time remote therapist. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to understand each client's unique mental health status and needs.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that are supported by evidence-based therapeutic methodologies.
• Facilitate therapy sessions utilizing various techniques, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused short-term therapy.
• Prepare detailed documentation for each client session in compliance with organizational policies and state regulations.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of professionals to ensure holistic and coordinated care for clients.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your client base will encompass a diverse range of individuals navigating issues such as depression, anxiety, substance abuse, and eating disorders. You will work closely with clients of various backgrounds, ages, and experiences, allowing you to apply your skills in a variety of therapeutic contexts. This role requires sensitivity and adaptability to meet the unique needs of each client, ensuring a supportive and empathetic therapeutic environment.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a closely related field.
• Active and unrestricted licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of New Jersey.
• A minimum of two years of direct experience in counseling or therapy, preferably in a clinical setting.
• Robust understanding of client confidentiality laws and ethical practice standards.

Preferred Experience

• Specialization in areas such as family therapy, couples therapy, substance use disorders, or trauma-informed care is highly preferred.
• Experience working with diverse populations and utilizing culturally responsive therapeutic techniques.
• Familiarity with telehealth platforms and remote counseling methodologies.

Compensation and Benefits
