Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of clients to understand their mental health needs and history.
• Develop personalized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices tailored to individual goals.
• Provide individual, couple, and family counseling using various therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness-based approaches.
• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation of client sessions, progress notes, and treatment plans in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Consult and collaborate with other healthcare professionals within our clinic to coordinate care and refer clients to additional services as needed.
• Educate clients and families on coping strategies and resources available within the community.
• Participate in regular supervision and continuing education to stay updated on best practices and new therapeutic techniques.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Licensed Professional Counselor at Springs of Hope Counseling Services, you will work with a diverse population, including children, adolescents, and adults facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions. Our clients come from various socio-economic backgrounds, requiring counselors who can demonstrate empathy, cultural competence, and adaptability in their approach to therapy. Your role will significantly impact improving their mental health outcomes through compassionate guidance and structured interventions.

Qualifications

• A master’s degree in Counseling or a closely related field is required.
• A valid state license as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in Texas is mandatory.
• At least two years of post-graduate experience in a counseling role, preferably in a clinical or community health setting.
• Demonstrated ability to establish rapport with clients, maintain effective communication, and practice active listening skills.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases effectively.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience providing teletherapy or remote counseling services is preferred.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and telehealth platforms.
• Additional certifications in specialized therapeutic techniques (e.g., trauma-informed care, play therapy) are highly valued.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 to $90,000 per year, commensurate with experience. In addition to a substantial salary, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including:
