Work Environment

As a remote role, this position allows you to deliver counseling services flexibly from your home or another appropriate setting. You will work in an outpatient counseling environment, serving clients who seek personalized support outside of a hospital or inpatient facility. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough initial assessments and comprehensive evaluations of new clients to develop tailored treatment plans that address their specific needs.
• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions using a blend of methodologies such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and solution-focused brief therapy.
• Facilitate individual, couple, family, and group counseling sessions, adapting your approach based on the client's unique therapeutic goals.
• Collaborate effectively with an integrated team of mental health professionals, including psychiatrists and social workers, to ensure a holistic approach to care.
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMR) that adhere to ethical standards and legal regulations while ensuring client confidentiality and security.
• Engage in ongoing professional development, attending workshops and seminars to stay informed about the latest research and best practices in mental health.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily focuses on a diverse array of clients, including individuals grappling with anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges. You will work closely with clients of all ages and backgrounds, providing culturally competent care that respects each individual’s unique circumstances and needs. The flexibility of scheduling allows you to accommodate clients during times that work best for them, enhancing their engagement in the therapeutic process.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related mental health field.
• Active and unrestricted licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Florida.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience providing direct counseling services, preferably in a clinical outpatient setting.
• Comprehensive knowledge of ethical guidelines and legal requirements in counseling practice.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills that facilitate building rapport with clients and collaboration with colleagues.

Preferred Experience

• Specialization or experience in trauma-informed care, substance abuse counseling, family therapy, or couples therapy.
• Proficiency in telehealth technologies and electronic medical record (EMR) systems to enhance service delivery and documentation.
• A demonstrated commitment to continual learning and professional growth within the mental health field.

Compensation and Benefits
