Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to create individualized therapy plans that cater to the unique needs of each client.
• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions in both individual and group settings, utilizing a variety of modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused brief therapy.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care, engaging in regular communication with other healthcare providers involved in a client’s treatment.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Engage in continuous professional development through workshops and training to stay updated with the latest mental health research and techniques.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a counselor at Unity Support Services, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse client population, including individuals facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, substance abuse, and relationship issues. Our goal is to provide tailored support to each client, ensuring they receive the care necessary for their unique circumstances.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required.
• Possession of active and unrestricted licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Tennessee.
• A minimum of two years of counseling experience in a clinical setting is necessary to apply.
• Proficient understanding of legal and ethical standards in counseling.
• Excellent interpersonal skills that facilitate rapport-building with clients from diverse backgrounds.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate within a healthcare team.
• Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software and related technologies.

Preferred Experience

• Specialization in areas such as family therapy, couples therapy, trauma, or substance misuse is highly preferred.
• Experience working with underserved populations is a plus, as it aligns with our mission to provide care to those with limited access.

Compensation and Benefits

Unity Support Services offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 70,000 to 90,000 annually, commensurate with experience and caseload availability. Our comprehensive benefits package includes:
