Work Environment

This remote role allows counselors to engage with clients through telehealth modalities, ensuring seamless and efficient delivery of mental health services from the comfort of their own homes. Key Responsibilities

• Crafting personalized therapeutic strategies tailored to meet the unique needs of each client, equipped with the latest evidence-based practices.
• Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments to better understand clients' mental health challenges.
• Deliver engaging therapy sessions to individuals, couples, families, and groups, effectively utilizing modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and solution-focused approaches.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide holistic care, ensuring that all aspects of a client’s mental and emotional health are addressed.
• Maintain meticulous clinical documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards to track progress and treatment outcomes.
• Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities including workshops and training sessions to stay current with advancements in the mental health field.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As an LPC at Unity Point, you will engage with a diverse range of clients from various cultural, socioeconomic, and age backgrounds. This role emphasizes adaptable therapeutic techniques to suit the individualized needs and circumstances of each client, including those encountering challenges related to anxiety, depression, substance misuse, trauma, and family dynamics.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required.
• Current and unrestricted licensing as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in New Jersey is essential to ensure compliance with state regulations.
• A minimum of two years of experience in a counseling role, preferably in a clinical setting, demonstrating a solid foundation in therapeutic practices.
• Strong understanding of legal and ethical guidelines relevant to counseling practices.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for establishing strong rapport and trust with clients from diverse backgrounds.

Preferred Experience

• Certification and specialization in areas such as family and couples therapy, trauma-informed care, or substance abuse counseling is highly desirable.
• Experience utilizing telehealth platforms for remote therapy sessions, enhancing access to care for clients.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges between $70,000 and $110,000, complemented by performance bonuses that recognize and reward dedication and impact on patient outcomes. We offer a sign-on bonus to welcome new members to our team as part of our commitment to investing in our staff.
