Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to develop personalized treatment plans tailored to individual client needs.
• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions to individuals, families, and groups, ensuring a holistic approach to mental health care.
• Utilize a diverse range of therapeutic modalities, including but not limited to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused brief therapy.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for all clients.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Engage in ongoing professional development, attending workshops and training sessions to stay updated on best practices and advances in mental health therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role involves working with a diverse clientele, including individuals facing anxiety, depression, trauma, substance abuse issues, and complex family dynamics. You will also work with those who have historically had limited access to mental health resources, making your contributions crucial in helping them navigate their challenges and achieve their goals.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
• An active and unrestricted license as a Professional Counselor (LPC) within the state of Texas.
• A minimum of two years of counseling experience, particularly in a clinical or therapeutic setting.
• Strong understanding of ethical and legal standards regarding counseling practices.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, facilitating the ability to build rapport with diverse clients.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Proficiency in using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software and related technology to document client interactions and treatment plans.

Preferred Experience

• Specialization or experience in family therapy, couples therapy, or trauma-informed care is highly preferred.
• A background in substance abuse counseling or experience working with clients facing addiction and recovery challenges.

Compensation and Benefits

• Annual salary ranging from USD 70,000 to 90,000, commensurate with experience and caseload.
