Key Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth assessments and evaluations to formulate personalized treatment plans based on the client's needs and goals.
• Deliver therapeutic interventions, including individual, group, family, and couples therapy, employing evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and solution-focused brief therapy.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, using electronic medical records (EMR) software.
• Engage with multidisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive care strategies, ensuring coordinated support for clients.
• Participate in continuous professional development through training sessions, workshops, and staying updated with the latest mental health research and best practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will serve a diverse client population, including individuals and families with limited access to mental health resources. Many of our clients are facing emotional and psychological challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use, and relationship issues. By building trust and rapport, you will help empower clients to navigate their concerns and improve their mental health.

Qualifications

• A master's degree or doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
• Active and unrestricted Vermont state licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC).
• At least two years of direct counseling experience, particularly in clinical settings.
• Strong understanding of legal and ethical standards in mental health practice.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, enabling effective engagement with a diverse clientele.
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with a healthcare team.

Preferred Experience

• Specialization in family therapy, couples therapy, trauma-informed care, or substance use disorders is highly desirable.
• Experience with EMR systems and other relevant technologies to streamline documentation and patient care.

Compensation and Benefits
