Work Environment

The position offers a competitive salary range of USD 70,000 to 90,000 annually based on experience and client caseload.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each client's unique needs.
• Provide therapeutic services using evidence-based practices, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and psychodynamic therapy, adapted to meet client goals.
• Facilitate group therapy sessions for various populations, including adults, couples, and families, focusing on collective healing and support.
• Maintain accurate and confidential clinical documentation compliant with legal and ethical standards, ensuring proper record-keeping for all client interactions.
• Stay abreast of current mental health research and engage in professional development opportunities to enhance therapeutic skills and knowledge.
• Collaborate with other therapists, psychologists, and healthcare providers to create a comprehensive care plan that addresses all aspects of a client's well-being.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily serves individuals and families with limited access to mental health resources. Clients may present with a variety of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges. As an LPC at Central Coast Psychotherapy Center, you'll engage with diverse populations, helping them navigate their struggles and achieve improved mental health outcomes.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
• Valid and unrestricted licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Texas.
• A minimum of two years of clinical experience in counseling or therapy, demonstrating proficiency in diverse therapeutic approaches.
• Strong understanding of ethical guidelines and legal requirements governing professional counseling practice.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, facilitating rapport-building with clients from various backgrounds.
• Proficient in utilizing Electronic Medical Record (EMR) software and maintaining thorough documentation of client interactions.

Preferred Experience

• Specialization in areas such as family therapy, couples therapy, trauma-informed care, or substance abuse counseling is highly desirable.
• Experience working in remote settings or teletherapy is a plus, demonstrating the ability to engage clients effectively through virtual platforms.
