Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough clinical assessments to evaluate clients' mental health needs and determine appropriate interventions.
• Design and implement evidence-based treatment plans that align with individual client goals and preferences, adjusting as necessary throughout the therapeutic process.
• Provide individual, couples, and group counseling sessions, ensuring the use of appropriate therapeutic interventions tailored to each client’s unique background and circumstances.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary treatment teams to develop cohesive care strategies and ensure continuity of services.
• Maintain accurate and confidential client records in accordance with legal and ethical standards, adhering to HIPAA regulations.
• Participate in ongoing clinical supervision, case conferences, and professional development opportunities to remain current with best practices and evidence-based techniques.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The LPC will work with a diverse clientele that includes individuals facing challenges such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, and various mood disorders. Our client base also includes those dealing with addiction-related issues and healing from traumatic experiences. Providing culturally competent care is pivotal, and counselors are expected to respect and understand the various backgrounds and life experiences of their clients.

Qualifications

• A valid license as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Texas is required.
• A Master's degree in clinical mental health counseling or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
• A proven history of successfully conducting both individual and group therapy sessions within mental health settings.
• Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic techniques is essential to delivering effective mental health treatment.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills that foster rapport and trust with clients from diverse cultural backgrounds.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in community mental health settings, with an understanding of the unique challenges faced by clients in these environments.
• Proficiency in therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is preferred.
• Prior engagement in case management or crisis intervention is a plus, enhancing the ability to address urgent client needs effectively.

Compensation and Benefits
