Work Environment

This position offers the convenience of a remote telehealth model, enabling you to engage with clients from the comfort of your own home while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. Our operational hours are designed to accommodate varied schedules, with services available daily from 7 am to 10 pm. We utilize advanced electronic health record (EHR) systems to facilitate seamless documentation and client management, ensuring you spend more time focusing on client care and less on administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities

Your role as an LCPC will encompass a variety of responsibilities that are crucial to fostering healing and resilience in clients. Specific duties include:

• Conducting comprehensive, trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate clients’ psychological needs and history.
• Creating and implementing tailored treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery and building resilience in clients.
• Delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
• Facilitating individual and group therapy sessions that support clients in processing their trauma experiences and developing essential coping strategies.
• Collaborating effectively with psychiatrists and other specialists to ensure holistic, integrated care for each client.
• Providing crisis intervention support for patients experiencing trauma-related emergencies.
• Educating clients and their families about trauma responses and coping mechanisms.
• Maintaining accurate clinical documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards to uphold client confidentiality.
• Regularly participating in case consultations, professional meetings, and continued education focused on trauma-informed care practices.
• Staying informed on current research and trends in trauma therapy to enhance therapeutic effectiveness.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with individuals and families who have experienced various forms of trauma, including childhood adversity, loss, and life transitions. Our client base also includes couples seeking to strengthen their relationships through therapeutic support. We are particularly looking for behavioral health generalists who are open to participating in couples therapy, with training provided as needed.

Qualifications

To qualify for this role, you must possess:

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid LCPC license in the state of Illinois.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, allowing for effective and empathetic patient interactions.
• The capability to remain calm under pressure and address high-stress situations adeptly.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, we prefer candidates who have:

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure counseling experience.
• Comprehensive knowledge of trauma-related disorders and treatment modalities.
• Hands-on experience with trauma-focused therapies and interventions.
• Proficiency in EHR systems for maintaining patient records.
• The ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.

Compensation and Benefits
