Work Environment

This position is based onsite, where you will be immersed in a collaborative environment focused on holistic care. Our home care facility incorporates state-of-the-art medical equipment and technology to create an efficient, safe, and welcoming setting for both our staff and patients. The working hours are Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evenings or weekends required for special events or emergencies. The routine provides a balanced work-life dynamic while serving those in need.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage patient appointments, meticulously maintain electronic health records (EHR), and ensure that medical charts are up-to-date and accurate to facilitate optimal patient care.
• Greet and assist patients as they arrive, collecting detailed medical histories and preparing them for examinations or treatments while ensuring their comfort and understanding of the process.
• Support physicians during examinations, procedures, and minor surgeries by demonstrating proficiency with medical equipment and maintaining a sterile, organized treatment environment.
• Collect and prepare specimens for laboratory testing, carefully adhering to labeling and documentation guidelines to ensure reliability and accuracy.
• Administer medications and injections as directed by physicians, with a strong emphasis on patient safety and adherence to prescribed medical protocols.
• Conduct basic laboratory tests and interpret results, including urinalysis, blood glucose monitoring, and EKGs, prioritizing precise documentation.
• Educate patients on medication usage, healthcare procedures, and general wellness guidelines, using clear communication to support their understanding and independence.
• Perform essential patient care tasks such as taking vital signs, measuring height and weight, and accurately documenting all patient information.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in examination rooms and the medical supply area, ensuring that all instruments are sterilized and inventory levels are sufficient to meet clinical needs.
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams, participating in coordinated patient care efforts and contributing to comprehensive treatment strategies.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required.
• A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience as a Medical Assistant.
• Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) from a recognized certifying agency, such as AAMA or AMT.
• Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, pharmacology, and healthcare practices.
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems to support accurate medical documentation.
• Exceptional communication skills to facilitate interactions with patients and healthcare teams effectively.
• A proven ability to multitask and manage several responsibilities simultaneously in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, previous experience in a home care or outpatient clinic setting is highly valued. Familiarity with patient care technology and laboratory procedures will give candidates an advantage.

Compensation and Benefits

Gotham Enterprises Ltd offers a competitive salary range of USD 30,000 to 50,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
