Hiring Medical Biller! Full-time opportunity in New Britain, Connecticut

We are seeking an experienced Medical Biller to join our Outpatient Clinic. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing medical claims, verifying insurance information, and ensuring accurate billing and reimbursement.

Job Type: Full Time

Work Hours: Monday - Thursday: 9 AM-7 PM

Compensation: $70,000.00 - $80,000 per year + benefits

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and submit medical claims to insurance companies, Medicare, and Medicaid
• Verify patient insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations
• Review and correct billing errors to minimize claim denials
• Post payments and reconcile patient accounts
• Follow up on unpaid claims and appeal denied claims when necessary
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA, insurance regulations, and billing guidelines
• Communicate with patients regarding billing inquiries and payment plans
• Work closely with healthcare providers and administrative staff to ensure accurate coding and billing

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Medical Biller in an outpatient or healthcare setting
• Strong knowledge of medical billing, coding (CPT, ICD-10), and insurance processes
• Proficiency in medical billing software and electronic health records (EHR)
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and customer service abilities
• Certification in Medical Billing and Coding (CPC, CPB) preferred
