Work Hours: Monday - Friday: 9 AM-5 PM

Compensation: $70,000.00 - $80,000 per year + benefits 

As a Medical Biller, you’ll ensure the accurate processing of medical claims, working closely with clinical staff, coding teams, and insurance providers. Your diligence directly impacts revenue recovery, regulatory compliance, and patient satisfaction.

This role is perfect for someone with a keen eye for detail, a deep understanding of healthcare billing systems, and a commitment to keeping the financial side of patient care running smoothly.

Job Duties:

• Prepare, review, and submit medical claims to insurance carriers (both commercial and government payers)
• Monitor and resolve insurance claim denials, rejections, and underpayments
• Verify patient insurance coverage and confirm pre-authorizations as needed
• Post payments and adjustments accurately in billing systems
• Collaborate with coding specialists to ensure claims are accurate and compliant
• Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
• Respond to billing inquiries from patients and insurance companies
• Track accounts receivable and follow up on unpaid claims
• Assist with audits, financial reporting, and compliance reviews as required

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED (Associate’s or relevant certification preferred)
• 2+ years of experience in medical billing, preferably in a hospital or multi-specialty clinic
• Proficient with billing software (e.g., Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth) and clearinghouses
• Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding systems
• Familiarity with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance plans
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
• Bilingual candidates (English/Spanish) are highly encouraged to apply
