About Our Client:
Addison Group is currently partnering with a growing healthcare organization seeking experienced and detail-oriented Billing Specialists to join their expanding revenue cycle team. This role supports a thriving medical practice focused on pain management and orthopedics and offers long-term direct hire employment with hybrid flexibility after the first 6 months.
Job Description:
The Billing Specialist will be responsible for preparing, submitting, and tracking insurance and workers’ comp claims, resolving billing issues, and ensuring claims are coded accurately based on documentation and payer guidelines. Strong knowledge of CPT/ICD-10 coding and professional billing (ProFee) experience is required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review patient documentation to ensure proper coding using CPT, ICD-10, and modifiers
- Submit insurance claims electronically and by paper to government and commercial payers
- Work denials and claim rejections in a timely manner
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date billing records in the EMR system
- Resolve inconsistencies in account statuses and follow up on outstanding claims
- Communicate with internal teams to collect any missing information for billing
- Ensure compliance with billing regulations and payer-specific requirements
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of professional billing (ProFee) experience required
- Prior experience with orthopedic or pain management billing is strongly preferred
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting EOBs and COBs
- Familiarity with billing insurance and workers’ comp claims
- Strong knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 coding
- Experience with electronic claims submission, including CMS-1500 forms
- Tech savvy with working knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Office
- Experience using EMRs; ECW is a plus

Additional Details:
- Schedule: M–F, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Location: Fully onsite for the first 6 months, then hybrid (3 days onsite / 2 days remote)
- Assignment Type: Direct Hire
- Interview Process: Onsite panel interview with department leadership
- Start Date: Within 2 weeks of offer
