Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient evaluations, including taking detailed medical histories, performing extensive physical examinations, and carrying out diagnostic tests.
• Diagnose and treat a variety of cardiovascular conditions such as coronary artery disease, heart failure, and arrhythmias, following evidence-based guidelines.
• Perform and interpret advanced cardiac tests and imaging techniques, including echocardiograms, stress testing, angiograms, and cardiac catheterizations.
• Create and implement personalized treatment plans that include medication management and lifestyle recommendations tailored to individual patient needs.
• Execute interventional procedures, such as angioplasty, stenting, and pacemaker implantation, with precision and care.
• Collaborate actively with a diverse team of cardiologists, surgeons, nurse practitioners, and allied health professionals to coordinate comprehensive care for patients.
• Educate patients on cardiovascular health, preventive measures, and effective disease management strategies.
• Engage in clinical research projects, contributing to advancements in the field of cardiology while ensuring the highest standards of patient care.
• Maintain accurate medical records and document patient interactions within electronic health record (EHR) systems to ensure continuity of care.
• Participate in ongoing professional education and stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in cardiology.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will be interacting with a diverse patient population, ranging from young adults with congenital heart conditions to older adults suffering from age-related cardiovascular issues. Our practice emphasizes a patient-centered approach, where your ability to communicate effectively and empathize with patients will play a crucial role in the healing process.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited institution, with completion of an internal medicine residency.
• Fellowship training in cardiology from an accredited program.
• Board certification/eligibility in cardiology from the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) or equivalent organization.
• State-issued medical license to practice cardiology in Illinois is required.
• Strong expertise in diagnosing and managing complex cardiovascular conditions.
• Proficiency in performing and interpreting a wide range of cardiac tests and imaging studies.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in interventional cardiology, with a strong track record of successful procedures is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits
