Work Environment

This is an onsite position within our outpatient office, where you will work approximately 40-45 hours per week. The work environment is designed to promote flexibility, allowing for adaptable scheduling to meet both patient needs and work-life balance. You will collaborate closely with a team of radiologic technologists and other healthcare specialists in a state-of-the-art facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform and interpret nuclear medicine imaging procedures such as Positron Emission Tomography (PET) and Single Photon Emission Computed Tomography (SPECT) scans.
• Ensure patient comfort and safety by coordinating with radiologic technologists during all imaging procedures.
• Analyze and interpret imaging results to facilitate accurate diagnoses and formulate effective treatment plans.
• Maintain up-to-date and precise patient records, ensuring compliance with all documentation standards and protocols.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to stay abreast of advancements in nuclear medicine.
• Participate in quality assurance initiatives aimed at enhancing the accuracy of imaging and promoting patient safety.
• Communicate imaging findings clearly and effectively with referring physicians to contribute to comprehensive patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Nuclear Medicine Physician at Metro Medical Center, you will serve a diverse patient population, including individuals undergoing evaluations for oncology, cardiology, and other medical specialties. Your expertise will be essential in guiding decisions regarding treatment options, particularly in cases involving complex conditions.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or an equivalent degree from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of a residency training program in nuclear medicine or a related specialty, with eligibility for board certification.
• Possession of a full and unrestricted medical license to practice in any U.S. state or territory.
• Demonstrated proficiency in interpreting nuclear imaging results and applying clinical context.
• Strong communication abilities for discussing findings with patients and interdisciplinary teams.
• Commitment to patient-centered care and adherence to established radiation safety guidelines.

Preferred Experience

• Substantial experience in various areas of clinical Nuclear Medicine, including general nuclear medicine, nuclear cardiology, and radionuclide therapies.
• Experience in hybrid molecular imaging techniques, specifically PET/CT and SPECT/CT.
• Extensive experience with unsealed source radionuclide therapies for patients with cancers, such as thyroid, neuroendocrine, prostate, and liver tumors.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 500,000 to 600,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to competitive compensation, we offer an extensive benefits package, including:
