Work Environment

This position is based in our outpatient office, providing a welcoming and supportive atmosphere designed for both staff and patients. Key Responsibilities

As an Urgent Care Physician at High Point Urgent Care, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough evaluations and treatment for patients presenting with urgent medical conditions, utilizing appropriate diagnostic and treatment skills.
• Performing detailed history taking and physical examinations to understand patient needs and tailor care accordingly.
• Managing daily operational tasks, which include reviewing patient callbacks and lab results to ensure timely communication of findings.
• Collaborating with case management to coordinate discharge planning and enhance the overall quality of patient care.
• Providing consulting expertise for hospitalized patients, collaborating effectively with other medical professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
• Documenting care in accordance with insurance industry requirements, ensuring no denials go unaddressed.
• Participating in outpatient consultations, which may involve on-call responsibilities for specialty care as necessary.
• Leading and overseeing the daily operations of the medical assistants and support staff, fostering a team-oriented environment.
• Engaging with supervising physicians in line with practice scope and patient needs, ensuring all care decisions reflect best practices.

You will address the unique perspectives and requirements of individuals from diverse backgrounds, ensuring access to timely and effective care. Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) is required.
• A valid medical license to practice in the state of Colorado.
• A minimum of two years’ experience in a fast-paced environment such as an emergency room or urgent care setting.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate efficiently and effectively while displaying excellent organizational skills.
• A strong work ethic with a commitment to participating in a collaborative, performance-driven healthcare system.
• A current DEA license is mandatory.
• A track record of maintaining confidentiality and impartiality in medical practice.
• Willingness to work at other clinic locations as needed, including some holidays.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in outpatient urgent care or emergency medicine is advantageous.
• Bilingual communication skills are preferred but not required.

Compensation and Benefits
