The Comprehensive Pain and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a dedicated Interventional Pain Management Physician to join our team in Kansas City, Kansas. As a full-time role, you will provide both inpatient and outpatient pain management services tailored to the unique needs of our patients, focusing particularly on the geriatric population and veterans. This position promises a competitive salary range of USD 350,000 to 500,000 annually, including potential bonuses and regular salary increases.

Key Responsibilities

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Providing comprehensive medical evaluations and developing individualized pain management plans for patients, informed by a biopsychosocial model.
• Performing specialized interventional procedures under fluoroscopic guidance, including nerve blocks, epidural steroid injections, and spinal cord stimulators.
• Managing and adapting treatment protocols based on patient responses and ongoing evaluations.
• Offering education and guidance to patients and their families on pain management strategies, lifestyle modifications, and rehabilitation options.
• Conducting ongoing assessments to ensure the effectiveness of treatment plans while maintaining detailed and accurate patient records.
• Participating actively in multidisciplinary team meetings to align treatment objectives and enhance patient outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our primary focus is serving veterans and geriatric patients, many of whom are dealing with complex pain issues stemming from chronic conditions, injuries, or age-related maladies. Your role will be fundamental in offering these patients not only relief but also improved quality of life, helping them regain functionality and independence.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:

• A Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
• Board certification in Pain Medicine or Anesthesiology with a subspecialty in Pain Management.
• A valid medical license in the State of Kansas and current DEA registration.
• Demonstrated proficiency in interventional pain management techniques.
• Exceptional communication skills and a strong commitment to providing patient-centered care.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, preference will be given to candidates with:

• At least 1 year of experience in a clinical setting focused on pain management.
• An established record of participating in research or teaching, particularly in a clinical environment conducive to resident or fellow supervision.
