Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments of patients experiencing a range of pain conditions, including acute and chronic pain, neuropathic disorders, and those affected by cancer.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that seamlessly integrate interventional procedures, pharmacological management, and rehabilitative strategies to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Utilize electronic medical record (EMR) systems, such as Epic, to ensure precise documentation, timely communication, and adherence to compliance standards.
• Maintain comprehensive diagnostic and procedural records that meet CMS guidelines and regulatory requirements.
• Engage in quality reporting processes related to MACRA/MIPS and participate in tracking performance outcomes as part of value-based care initiatives.
• Contribute to educational endeavors, including mentoring medical students, residents, or fellows, depending on practice settings, as well as engaging in research activities that foster advancements in pain management.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop clinical pathways and protocols aimed at enhancing service delivery and improving patient experience.
• Participate in community outreach efforts and program development to extend our commitment to pain management education and awareness.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The patients you will serve span a diverse demographic, primarily consisting of individuals dealing with chronic pain conditions, including but not limited to, musculoskeletal disorders, neuropathic pain, and post-surgical complications. Many of these patients have multifaceted health challenges that require a coordinated treatment approach. You will play a crucial role in not only treating their conditions but also empowering them through education on pain management techniques.

Qualifications

• Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.
• Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Anesthesiology, Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, or Neurology, with completed fellowship training in Pain Medicine.
• Possess an active California medical license or be eligible for licensure.
• Demonstrated proficiency in interventional pain procedures, including fluoroscopy and/or ultrasound-guided techniques.
• Excellent communication and patient education skills to effectively advocate for patient care.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in pain management, particularly in a multidisciplinary setting.
• Familiarity with multi-modal pain management strategies and a background in population health management.
• Experience participating in quality improvement initiatives and research in the field of pain management.

Compensation and Benefits

• Competitive base salary ranging from $280,000 to $300,000 annually, in addition to a productivity-based RVU or bonus structure.
