Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Interventional Cardiologist to join our dynamic team at Intermountain Cardiac Services, located in Astoria, New York. This full-time position involves diagnosing and treating patients with various cardiovascular conditions, utilizing both advanced technology and personalized care approaches. You will work primarily onsite at our outpatient office, providing impactful cardiovascular care to our community.

Work Environment

Working in a state-of-the-art outpatient office setting, located in the vibrant area of Astoria, NY, you will experience a collaborative and supportive atmosphere. Our facility is equipped with the latest advancements in cardiac diagnostic and treatment technologies, allowing you to perform a full range of procedures from diagnostics to interventional treatments. Your schedule will generally run Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening or weekend responsibilities to accommodate patient emergencies or consultations.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments that include detailed medical history reviews, thorough physical examinations, and diagnostic testing to determine the presence and severity of cardiovascular diseases.
• Diagnose a variety of cardiovascular conditions, including coronary artery disease, heart failure, arrhythmias, and valvular disorders, developing tailored treatment strategies for each patient.
• Perform and interpret cardiac diagnostic tests and imaging studies such as echocardiograms, stress tests, angiograms, and cardiac catheterizations, ensuring accuracy and clarity in findings.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that may include prescribing medications, recommending lifestyle modifications, and performing interventional procedures like angioplasty and stenting.
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to create comprehensive care plans that address the individual needs of each patient, enhancing coordination of care and improving health outcomes.
• Provide thorough patient education about cardiovascular health, disease management, and preventive measures to empower patients to take charge of their health.
• Engage in clinical research and trials to contribute to the advancement of cardiology knowledge and practices within the organization.
• Maintain accurate medical records and document patient interactions in our electronic health record (EHR) system to ensure seamless communication and continuity of care.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and training to stay current with the latest research and advances in cardiology.

Qualifications

• Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a residency program in internal medicine, followed by fellowship training in cardiology.
• Board certification or eligibility in cardiology from the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) or equivalent, along with a valid medical license to practice in New York.
• Extensive knowledge and experience in diagnosing and managing a variety of cardiovascular diseases, demonstrating expertise in both non-invasive and interventional cardiology.
• Strong analytical abilities, combined with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, facilitating effective interactions with colleagues and patients alike.

Compensation and Benefits

The position offers a competitive salary range of USD 500,000 to 600,000 per year, commensurate with experience and capabilities. Furthermore, our comprehensive benefits package includes:
