This role is primarily onsite, allowing direct interaction with patients and the collaborative team of healthcare professionals that includes cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, nurse practitioners, and other support staff. Our facility is equipped with the latest telehealth technology, ensuring that patient consultations remain accessible and convenient. The work schedule typically runs from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some potential for evening and weekend consultations as needed for emergencies.
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments through detailed medical history reviews, physical examinations, and diagnostic testing.
Diagnose and treat diverse cardiovascular conditions including but not limited to coronary artery disease, heart failure, and arrhythmias.
Perform and interpret cardiac imaging and functional tests, such as echocardiograms, stress tests, and cardiac catheterizations, ensuring accurate and timely diagnoses.
Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that may include medication prescriptions and lifestyle modification recommendations to manage and improve cardiac health.
Carry out interventional procedures including angioplasty, stenting, and pacemaker placements, working closely with state-of-the-art equipment to enhance patient outcomes.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to formulate comprehensive patient care plans, facilitating effective communication among healthcare providers.
Engage in educating patients about cardiovascular health, prevention strategies, and treatment adherence to promote proactive health management.
Participate in clinical research and trials, working with leading experts and contributing to advancements in the field of cardiology.
Maintain accurate medical records, documenting all patient encounters in electronic health record (EHR) systems to ensure continuity of care.
Take part in ongoing professional development and training to stay abreast of the latest advancements in cardiology and best practices.
The patient population includes individuals with a wide array of cardiovascular conditions, from those needing preventive care and management of chronic diseases to patients requiring complex interventional procedures. Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school.
Completion of an internal medicine residency program.
Fellowship training in cardiology from an accredited institution.
Board certification or eligibility in cardiology from the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) or equivalent.
A valid medical license to practice in the state of Tennessee.
Demonstrated expertise in assessing and managing a broad spectrum of cardiovascular conditions.
Proficiency in performing and interpreting advanced cardiac tests and procedures.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills enabling effective collaboration and communication.
A dedication to compassionate, patient-centered care.
A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a cardiology setting is preferred.
Experience with telehealth technologies and methodologies is a plus.
