Key Responsibilities

• Patient Examination: Conduct thorough assessments of skin conditions, taking into account patient historical data and lifestyle factors that may influence health.
• Diagnosis and Treatment: Diagnose various dermatological issues, including but not limited to acne, eczema, psoriasis, and skin cancers, and develop personalized, evidence-based treatment plans.
• Prescribing Medications: Write prescriptions for both topical and systemic treatments as appropriate, managing multiple dermatological conditions effectively.
• Cosmetic Procedures: Perform innovative cosmetic treatments such as Botox, fillers, chemical peels, and laser therapies aimed at enhancing the aesthetic appearance and overall health of the skin.
• Skin Biopsies and Dermatologic Surgery: Execute minor surgical procedures including excisions, cyst removals, and biopsies, utilizing precise techniques to ensure patient safety and comfort.
• Skin Cancer Screening: Regularly conduct skin cancer screenings and proactively educate patients on preventative measures and early detection strategies.
• Allergy Testing: Conduct allergy tests to identify triggers contributing to skin conditions and advise patients on effective allergen management strategies.
• Follow-Up Care: Provide ongoing patient monitoring and care adjustments to ensure optimal health outcomes.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other medical specialists for comprehensive patient management, especially patients with systemic conditions affecting the skin.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate electronic medical records to document patient histories, diagnoses, treatments, and follow-up care.
• Continuous Education: Engage in ongoing education and training to remain current with advancements in dermatological treatments and best practices.

Qualifications

• Medical Degree: Must possess a Doctor of Medicine (MD) or a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited institution.
• Residency: Completion of a dermatology residency program.
• Board Certification: Must be board certified or eligible in Dermatology.
• Licensing: Active medical license to practice in Minnesota.
• Skills: Strong clinical, interpersonal, and communication skills to connect effectively with patients and colleagues.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of one year of experience in clinical dermatology is required.
• Experience in performing various cosmetic procedures is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in electronic health record systems to streamline patient documentation and care.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers an attractive salary range of USD 400,000 to 600,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
