Work Environment

This position requires an onsite presence at our state-of-the-art facility in Carmel, NY, equipped for telehealth services. Key Responsibilities

• Perform and interpret complex nuclear medicine imaging procedures, such as PET and SPECT scans, efficiently handling various medical conditions.
• Collaborate with radiologic technologists to ensure optimal patient safety and comfort throughout the imaging process.
• Analyze imaging results thoroughly, translating technical findings into clear clinical recommendations for patient care.
• Maintain meticulous patient records, complying with documentation protocols and ensuring accurate data management.
• Engage in continuous professional development to remain current with the latest advancements in nuclear medicine technology and methodologies.
• Participate in quality assurance initiatives to uphold the highest standards of imaging accuracy and patient safety.
• Coordinate with referring physicians to communicate imaging outcomes effectively, playing a pivotal role in shaping comprehensive treatment plans for patients.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will encompass a diverse patient population requiring advanced imaging diagnostics, including oncology patients undergoing various forms of treatment. You will have the opportunity to make significant contributions to the care of individuals with complex medical conditions, including those affected by thyroid, neuroendocrine, prostate, and liver cancers.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree or an equivalent from an accredited medical school.
• Successful completion of residency training in an accredited core specialty program, leading to board eligibility.
• A full and unrestricted license to practice medicine in the United States, with active certifications in nuclear medicine.
• Demonstrated proficiency in interpreting nuclear imaging results, with the ability to contextualize findings for clinical application.
• Exceptional communication skills to effectively relay imaging results to both patients and colleagues.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team focused on patient-centered care.
• Commitment to adhering to radiation safety guidelines to protect both patients and staff.

Preferred Experience

• Extensive expertise in general nuclear medicine and nuclear cardiology.
• Experience with radionuclide therapy, particularly in treating patients with advanced cancers.
• Familiarity with hybrid imaging techniques, including PET/CT and SPECT/CT.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this full-time position ranges from $500,000 to $600,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. We offer an impressive benefits package that includes:
