As an Internal Medicine Physician, you will work in a collaborative environment alongside nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and administrative staff who share a commitment to excellence. Key Responsibilities

Your daily responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Providing expert diagnosis and management for a range of acute and chronic medical conditions, ensuring comprehensive documentation of all patient encounters.
• Interpreting laboratory and diagnostic imaging results, discussing findings with patients, and developing appropriate follow-up plans.
• Delivering health education tailored to individual patient needs, documenting all educational interactions to promote informed decision-making.
• Reviewing consultant reports and ensuring timely follow-up to coordinate and optimize patient care.
• Responding to miscellaneous medical inquiries when the Nursing Director or Medical Director is unavailable, demonstrating your clinical acumen.
• Mentoring and training medical staff, including resident physicians and nursing personnel, to enhance team capabilities.
• Actively participating in provider meetings and contributing to clinical discussions aimed at improving practice protocols.
• Engaging in quality assurance initiatives and chart reviews to uphold healthcare standards as outlined in our Quality Assurance policies.
• Supervising and guiding physician assistants, nurse practitioners, and medical students during their training experiences.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As an Internal Medicine Physician at Metromed, you will work with a varied patient population, ranging from young adults to seniors, each with unique health challenges. Your role will focus on preventative care, chronic disease management, and acute care in a concierge format, allowing for richer interactions and customized care plans. You will have the chance to foster deep relationships, enabling better health outcomes through consistent and holistic care.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A current Medical License issued by the state of Nevada.
• A Medical Doctor degree from an accredited U.S. medical school, or an equivalent international institution with proof of passing the FLEX examination.
• Current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration with certification.
• Board Certification or evidence of board eligibility in a recognized primary care specialty.
• In-depth knowledge of medical practices and standards relevant to the local community.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, enabling effective patient and team interactions.
• Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships with colleagues, patients, and external healthcare agencies.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, the following experiences are preferred:

• A minimum of 2 years in a clinical practice setting, with experience in concierge or primary care medicine being a plus.
• Demonstrated proficiency in mentoring medical professionals and handling diverse patient cases.
