Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive medical care, focusing on the treatment of work-related ailments, episodic illnesses, and patient wellness.
• Conduct thorough pre-employment medical evaluations and ongoing health assessments, including psychological examinations and substance testing as per regulatory guidelines.
• Collaborate with the Medical Director to oversee the workers’ compensation program, ensuring compliance with all OSHA regulations and healthcare standards.
• Develop, implement, and present health education initiatives that include disease-specific screening programs and fitness activities tailored to employee needs.
• Work alongside the Benefits and Leaves Team to manage the medical leave program, leveraging your expertise to provide effective resources and support for employees.
• Serve as a health advisor to management, addressing matters related to occupational safety, emergency response planning, and overall employee health strategies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Family Medicine Physician in our clinic, you will serve a diverse population of patients, including employees from various sectors and their families. This role emphasizes the importance of creating individualized care plans that support not only the physical health of our patients but also their emotional and social well-being.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree, and a valid license to practice medicine within Virginia.
• Board Certification in Occupational Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine is preferred for this role.
• Strong understanding of state and federal occupational health laws, as well as medical regulations.
• Exceptional communication skills, capable of effectively presenting complex medical information to a non-medical audience.
• A collaborative and approachable nature with proven interpersonal abilities to nurture relationships within a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in occupational health or a healthcare setting focused on employee wellness.
• Proven track record in designing and executing health education programs.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and occupational health management software.

Compensation and Benefits

The base salary for this full-time position ranges from USD 180,000 to 250,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a robust benefits package including:
