Work Environment

This full-time position demands an onsite presence within a modern hospital facility located in the vibrant community of Delmar, NY. Your typical work schedule will encompass approximately 40-45 hours per week, with flexible scheduling available to maintain a healthy work-life balance while accommodating patient needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct and interpret a variety of nuclear medicine imaging procedures, including PET and SPECT scans, to evaluate complex medical conditions.
• Collaborate effectively with radiologic technologists and other medical professionals to ensure patient comfort and safety throughout imaging processes.
• Thoroughly analyze imaging results to provide precise diagnoses and tailor treatment recommendations based on clinical findings.
• Maintain meticulous patient records, aligning with established documentation protocols to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Engage in continuous professional development to stay current with advancements in nuclear medicine technology and practices.
• Take part in quality assurance programs to uphold imaging precision and rigorous patient safety standards.
• Work closely with referring physicians to articulate imaging findings, thereby enhancing comprehensive patient care plans.

Qualifications

• A Doctor of Medicine (MD) or equivalent degree from an accredited medical institution.
• Completion of residency training in an accredited program leading to eligibility for board certification in Nuclear Medicine.
• Possession of a full and unrestricted medical license to practice in any US State or territory.
• Current active certifications pertinent to the practice of nuclear medicine.
• Exceptional skill in interpreting nuclear imaging results and applying clinical reasoning to patient care.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is competitive, between USD 500,000 and 600,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to a substantial salary, we offer an extensive benefits package that includes:
