Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations and provide appropriate diagnostic and treatment services for a diverse patient base at our urgent care center.
• Efficiently coordinate discharge planning in collaboration with case management teams to ensure seamless transitions of care.
• Actively participate in enhancing the quality of patient care and cost-effectiveness initiatives, recommending best practices to leadership and your peers.
• Accept and manage patient referrals from other healthcare providers, serving as a consulting physician for those requiring hospitalization due to primary medical diagnoses.
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation that complies with insurance requirements, and manage appeals for any claim denials promptly.
• Engage in inpatient and outpatient consultations for specialty cases, which may include being available for on-call duties.

Qualifications

• A Medical Degree from an accredited university.
• A valid Physician Assistant license (PA-C) issued by the state of North Carolina.

Compensation and Benefits
