Key Responsibilities

• Perform thorough evaluations of patients presenting with a variety of gastrointestinal symptoms, including abdominal pain, dysphagia, and changes in bowel habits, ensuring a comprehensive diagnostic approach.
• Conduct diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures, including upper endoscopy, colonoscopy, and advanced techniques such as endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) and endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), with precision and care.
• Expertly manage gastrointestinal disorders, providing consultations for conditions such as inflammatory bowel disease, liver diseases, gastrointestinal cancers, and functional gastrointestinal disorders.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that encompass both clinical management and lifestyle changes, ensuring every patient's treatment is tailored to their unique needs.
• Collaborate with referring physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive, coordinated patient care and smooth transitions across various care levels.
• Interpret diagnostic test results from laboratory findings, imaging studies, and pathology reports, communicating these findings clearly and compassionately to patients and their families.
• Continuously monitor patient outcomes, modifying treatment approaches as necessary, and providing follow-up care to address complications or evolving health concerns.
• Stay informed on the latest developments in gastroenterology through ongoing education and active participation in relevant conferences.
• Maintain organized and accurately documented patient records in electronic health record (EHR) systems, ensuring efficient communication and tracking of patient progress.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will engage with a diverse patient population, treating individuals from various backgrounds with a broad range of gastrointestinal conditions. Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Gastroenterology.
• Board certification in Gastroenterology is required.
• Active medical license to practice in Texas.
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with an ability to foster rapport with patients and families.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary setting.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in advanced endoscopic procedures is preferred.
• Prior involvement in clinical research or participation in medical conferences is highly regarded.

Compensation and Benefits
