Work Environment

This position offers a dynamic onsite work setting within a state-of-the-art clinic that emphasizes quality patient interactions and advanced treatment modalities. Work hours are Monday through Friday, from 9 am to 5 pm, offering a balanced lifestyle for our employees.

Key Responsibilities

• Patient Examination: Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' skin conditions, taking into account their medical histories and lifestyle factors to determine a tailored approach to care.
• Diagnosis and Treatment: Accurately diagnose a range of dermatological conditions including acne, eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis, and skin cancer, and formulate personalized management plans.
• Prescribing Medications: Effectively prescribe topical and systemic treatments, such as creams and oral medications, to optimize patient outcomes.
• Cosmetic Procedures: Perform aesthetic procedures including Botox injections and chemical peels, enhancing patient confidence and skin health.
• Skin Biopsies: Conduct skin biopsies to identify specific conditions and guide treatment options, ensuring precise and timely intervention.
• Dermatologic Surgery: Execute minor surgical procedures, such as excisions and cyst removals, addressing both benign and malignant skin lesions with expertise.
• Skin Cancer Screening: Provide routine skin cancer screenings, educating patients on prevention and proactive health measures.
• Client Education: Educate patients about skincare best practices, sun protection, and the importance of early skin condition detection.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other healthcare professionals, including dermatopathologists and primary care physicians, to ensure integrated patient care.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in compliance with healthcare regulations, documenting patient assessments and treatment plans.
• Ethical Practice: Uphold patient confidentiality and adhere to the highest ethical standards in the practice of dermatology.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will play a vital role in serving a diverse patient population in Alexandria, Virginia, addressing a wide spectrum of dermatological needs—from routine skin care to complex conditions. Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited institution.

• Board certification in Dermatology, demonstrating your competence and commitment to maintaining high standards of care.
• A valid, unrestricted medical license to practice dermatology in Virginia.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 1 year of post-residency experience in clinical dermatology is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with telehealth technology to provide virtual consultations is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 400,000 to 600,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
