Work Environment

This position is fully onsite, allowing for direct interaction with patients and fostering a collaborative team environment. You will primarily operate within outpatient settings, but there may be occasions for inpatient consultations when collaborating with other medical specialties at local hospitals. The nature of house calls requires flexibility and adaptability while upholding the highest care standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive consultations and examinations for patients seeking dermatological care, diagnosing conditions such as skin cancer, acne, and other skin disorders.
• Create tailored treatment plans for each patient that may involve prescribing medications, recommending lifestyle adjustments, and implementing therapies.
• Perform a range of dermatological procedures, including but not limited to skin biopsies, excisions, and laser treatments, ensuring minimal scarring and optimal outcomes.
• Administer cosmetic treatments, such as Botox, dermal fillers, chemical peels, and microdermabrasion, focusing on enhancing aesthetic outcomes in alignment with patient goals.
• Educate patients about skincare routines, disease prevention, and overall dermatological health, fostering a long-term partnership in their wellness journey.
• Document all patient interactions accurately and in compliance with legal standards, ensuring effective tracking of treatment progress and outcomes.
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement comprehensive care strategies that address overlapping medical conditions or patient concerns.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited institution.
• Board certification or eligibility in Dermatology is required.
• A valid and unrestricted medical license to practice in the state of Minnesota.
• Proficient in diagnosing and managing an array of dermatological issues, including complex conditions.
• Experience performing dermatological procedures, including surgical interventions and cosmetic applications.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, essential for building rapport with patients and working with interdisciplinary teams.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 3 years in clinical dermatology.
