Work Environment

This role is situated in a supportive and nurturing work environment where the focus is on the well-being of our pediatric patients. The position offers a full-time schedule from 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday, with occasional evenings and weekends as needed. The onsite outpatient clinic is designed to facilitate optimal patient care through collaborative work with other specialists and healthcare providers in a warm and welcoming setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular health check-ups and developmental screenings for children aged 0-18 years to assess growth and developmental milestones.
• Diagnose and provide treatment for common childhood illnesses and injuries, including managing acute presentations in a timely and effective manner.
• Administer immunizations and deliver preventative care, educating families about the importance of vaccines in promoting child health.
• Develop comprehensive treatment plans for children with chronic conditions, ensuring that families are integral to the care process through ongoing communication and support.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals, including nurses, pediatric specialists, and mental health counselors, to ensure a holistic care approach.
• Educate parents and caregivers on essential topics such as nutrition, child development, mental health, and preventive measures to improve overall family health.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care processes and outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily serve a diverse patient population, including children from varied backgrounds and communities. This role requires sensitivity to cultural differences and an understanding of the unique challenges some families face, enabling you to provide tailored healthcare solutions for your patients.

Qualifications

• Doctoral Degree in Medicine (MD) from an accredited medical school.
• Current and active state medical license with board certification in Pediatrics.
• Successful completion of a three-year residency program in Pediatrics, equipping you with the knowledge and skills necessary for effective practice.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, complemented by a compassionate bedside manner that fosters trust and rapport with young patients and their families.
• Excellent diagnostic capabilities, attention to detail, and the ability to think critically under pressure.
• A collaborative spirit and the ability to function effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development through continuing education and participation in relevant training.
• No prior board actions.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in a pediatric practice setting preferred.
• Knowledge of telehealth practices and technology is an asset, as we aim to utilize remote consultation to enhance patient access.
• Prior involvement in community health initiatives or outreach programs is a plus, showcasing a commitment to public health advocacy.

Compensation and Benefits

• Competitive annual salary ranging from $225,000 to $275,000, based on experience and qualifications, alongside opportunities for quarterly bonuses.
