Work Environment

This role is primarily based in our outpatient clinic in Houston, Texas, with state-of-the-art facilities that include advanced dermatological tools and equipment. As an integral part of our onsite team, you will collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals, participating in a multidisciplinary approach to patient care. We also incorporate telehealth services, allowing you to reach patients through virtual consultations, enhancing accessibility and convenience.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough and detailed patient consultations, examinations, and assessments to diagnose and manage a range of dermatological conditions, such as skin cancer, acne, psoriasis, and eczema.
• Design individualized treatment plans for patients, which may include prescribing medications, recommending skin therapies, and executing various dermatological procedures.
• Perform skin biopsies, excisions, and other surgical interventions, focusing on optimal patient outcomes and minimizing cosmetic scarring.
• Administer cosmetic treatments like Botox, dermal fillers, chemical peels, laser therapy, and microdermabrasion to enhance patients’ aesthetic appearance.
• Educate patients on effective skincare practices, guiding them in disease prevention and the maintenance of healthy skin, which is essential to enhancing their self-esteem and overall well-being.
• Document all patient interactions accurately, ensuring compliance with legal and health regulations as part of maintaining comprehensive medical records.
• Engage in collaboration with a diverse team of healthcare professionals, including dermatology nurses and medical assistants, to provide integrated patient care that addresses both medical and cosmetic needs.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Dermatologist will serve a broad client base, catering to individuals of all ages and diverse backgrounds in Houston. Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited institution.
• Board certification or eligibility in Dermatology.
• Possession of a valid and unrestricted medical license in the state of Texas.
• Strong proficiency in diagnosing and treating a variety of dermatological conditions.
• Expertise in performing dermatological procedures, including but not limited to biopsies, excisions, cryosurgery, and laser treatments.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport with patients and team members alike.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in an outpatient dermatology clinic setting.
