The Internal Medicine Physician will engage in a variety of responsibilities, including:
Conducting comprehensive patient examinations, diagnosing, and managing a wide range of health issues for individuals of all ages.
Performing initial history and physical examinations for outpatient visits, ensuring accurate medical records and understanding of patient needs.
Delivering ongoing outpatient care while assessing and determining the necessity for further medical interventions.
Prescribing medications and treatments within the established scope of practice to effectively manage patient health conditions.
Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests such as lab work, x-rays, and ECGs to inform treatment plans.
Collecting blood specimens and performing necessary laboratory procedures to facilitate timely diagnosis.
Coordinating consultations and scheduling specialized tests to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Educating patients and their families on health maintenance, management of illnesses, and the therapeutic process to promote informed decision-making.
Maintaining compliance with regulatory standards including Joint Commission, Ryan White, and various funding sources.
Completing electronic medical records (EMR) documentation promptly after each patient visit, ensuring accuracy and a high standard of care.
Flexibly floating to multiple locations as needed, fostering teamwork and comprehensive patient care across the organization.
Engaging in other duties as assigned to support hospital operations and patient outcomes.
