As a Nephrologist at our facility, you will be immersed in a dynamic and collaborative work setting. The hospital features modern medical technologies and a dedicated team of healthcare providers who are committed to upholding the highest standards of patient care. This opportunity requires you to work onsite, approximately 40-45 hours per week, from Monday to Friday, with regular hours from 8 AM to 5 PM. There will be flexibility to accommodate patient needs and occasional on-call responsibilities.
Conduct thorough nephrology evaluations and examinations, including obtaining detailed medical histories and performing comprehensive physical assessments to identify kidney-related health issues.
Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as lab work, imaging studies, and kidney biopsies, to accurately diagnose and monitor renal diseases.
Formulate and implement individualized treatment plans, which may involve medication adjustments, lifestyle changes, and referrals to specialists as needed.
Actively manage the progression of chronic kidney disease, providing necessary interventions to slow deterioration and enhance quality of life.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including primary care providers and other specialists, to ensure cohesive and comprehensive patient care across various health concerns.
Educate patients and their families about disease management, treatment options, and necessary lifestyle modifications to promote kidney health.
Engage in clinical research initiatives and participate in quality improvement projects that aim to advance nephrology practice and improve patient care processes.
Maintain meticulous medical records in compliance with healthcare regulations and best practices.
You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population suffering from a variety of kidney-related conditions, including chronic kidney disease, hypertension, and glomerular diseases. A Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree from an accredited institution is required.

An active medical license to practice in Colorado is mandatory.
Demonstrated expertise in diagnosing and treating kidney diseases, with specific experience in chronic kidney disease and hypertension management.
Proficiency in managing complex dialysis cases and renal transplant patients is preferred.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with both patients and the healthcare team.
A commitment to patient-centered care and a desire to improve clinical outcomes are a must.
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team is crucial.
Prior experience in a nephrology-focused practice or a clinical setting requiring advanced nephrology interventions will be highly regarded. Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is also beneficial for efficient patient documentation and care coordination.
