Work Environment

The schedule typically runs Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with potential evening or weekend hours required for patient consultations or emergencies.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed patient assessments, including comprehensive medical history evaluations, thorough physical examinations, and appropriate diagnostic tests to inform clinical decision-making.
• Identify and manage a diverse range of cardiovascular conditions such as coronary artery disease, heart failure, arrhythmias, and valvular heart disorders.
• Perform and interpret essential cardiac diagnostic tests and imaging studies, including echocardiograms, stress tests, angiograms, and cardiac catheterizations.
• Design tailored treatment plans based on individual patient profiles, prescribing necessary medications and recommending lifestyle adjustments to improve overall cardiac health.
• Execute advanced interventional procedures such as angioplasty, stenting, and pacemaker insertions to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to create comprehensive care plans, ensuring coordinated patient management and seamless communication.
• Deliver educational resources to patients regarding cardiovascular health, disease management strategies, and preventive health measures.
• Engage in research initiatives and clinical trials aimed at advancing cardiology knowledge and improving treatment methodologies.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive medical records while documenting patient interactions using electronic health record (EHR) systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Medical degree (MD or DO) from a recognized and accredited medical institution.
• Successful completion of a residency program in internal medicine.

• Board certification or eligibility in cardiology from the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) or an equivalent body.
• A valid medical license to practice cardiology in New York State.

Compensation and Benefits
