Work Environment

This full-time psychiatrist position is onsite at our facility, allowing for direct interaction with residents and multidisciplinary teams. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations to accurately assess residents' mental health conditions and needs.
• Develop and execute individualized treatment plans, taking into account the intricacies of geriatric care.
• Manage medications meticulously, being aware of potential interactions with other treatments and adjusting as necessary to optimize patient outcomes.
• Collaborate daily with caregivers, nursing staff, and therapists to provide cohesive and comprehensive mental health care.
• Provide supportive therapy and psychoeducation, empowering residents and their families with the knowledge and tools to manage mental health challenges.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

• Medical Doctor (MD) degree with a specialization in Psychiatry from an accredited institution.
• Active and unrestricted state licensure as a Psychiatrist.

• A solid understanding of the mental health needs and difficulties faced by elderly individuals.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
