Work Environment

As a Pain Management Physician at Grand Central Medical Hospital, you will work in an onsite outpatient office that fosters collaboration and teamwork. Your typical hours will be from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, allowing for a balanced professional and personal schedule. Here, you will work closely with physical therapists, psychologists, and a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals dedicated to providing comprehensive pain management solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient evaluations, collecting detailed medical histories, performing physical examinations, and utilizing diagnostic imaging and tests such as EMG to assess pain conditions.
• Develop and execute tailored pain management plans that consider each patient's unique medical history, treatment goals, and lifestyle factors.
• Prescribe and oversee pharmacologic interventions, ensuring adherence to best practices in medication management for safety and efficacy.
• Collaborate with physical therapy teams to integrate therapeutic exercises, and support psycho-social interventions, enhancing holistic care.
• Educate patients on pain management strategies, medication adherence, and healthy lifestyle choices to empower them in managing their pain.
• Actively participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss case management and optimize collective patient care outcomes.
• Utilize the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system to maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation of treatment plans, patient progress, and outcomes.
• Engage in continuous professional development, staying informed about advancements in pain management techniques and emerging therapies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily care for a diverse patient population, including individuals with chronic pain, musculoskeletal disorders, and post-surgical recovery needs. Your expertise will be vital in addressing the physical and psychological dimensions of pain, implementing strategies that improve functional capabilities and enhance overall well-being.

Qualifications

• A Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
• A current and unrestricted medical license in the state of Nevada.
• Board certification in Pain Medicine, Anesthesiology, Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R), or Neurology.
• Demonstrable experience in interventional pain management, including familiarity with multimodal treatment strategies.
• Proficiency in EHR systems and a commitment to maintaining meticulous medical documentation.
• Strong diagnostic acumen, technical procedural skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with patients and colleagues alike.

Preferred Experience

• At least 2 years of clinical experience in a pain management setting, with a focus on both interventional procedures and holistic treatment methods.
• A proven track record of working collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
