Key Responsibilities

As a Pain Management Specialist, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough patient evaluations to assess the nature and extent of each patient’s pain conditions.
• Developing and implementing comprehensive, individualized pain management plans that include both interventional and medication-based therapies.
• Performing interventional procedures such as nerve blocks, epidural injections, and other minimally invasive techniques to alleviate chronic pain.
• Monitoring patient response to treatments, adjusting plans as necessary, and prescribing appropriate medications to ensure both efficacy and safety.
• Providing education to patients and their families about pain management techniques, lifestyle modifications, and strategies to improve overall health.
• Collaborating closely with other healthcare providers to ensure an integrated care approach for complex patient needs.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient population primarily consists of individuals experiencing chronic pain due to various conditions, including musculoskeletal disorders, neuropathic pain, and post-surgical pain syndromes. You will focus on addressing the unique pain experiences of each patient, allowing for tailored solutions that align with their lifestyles and health goals.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
• Board certification in Pain Medicine or Anesthesiology with a subspecialty in Pain Management.
• Active and valid state medical license in Ohio and DEA registration.
• Demonstrated proficiency in interventional pain management techniques.
• Strong communication skills, with a patient-centered approach to care delivery.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of one year of experience in pain management is required, candidates with advanced interventional training or fellowship experience in pain medicine will be given preference. A solid understanding of contemporary pain management practices and a commitment to continuous learning through professional development activities is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits
