Work Environment

This position is located onsite in our Springfield facility, allowing for direct interaction with patients in a concierge medicine setting. As part of our commitment to personalized care, we often conduct house calls to better serve patients in their homes. The collaborative environment includes a multidisciplinary team of cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, nurse practitioners, and various support staff, all working together to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed patient assessments, including comprehensive medical history evaluations, thorough physical examinations, and necessary diagnostic tests.
• Diagnose and formulate treatment strategies for a spectrum of cardiovascular diseases, such as coronary artery disease, heart failure, arrhythmias, and valvular disorders.
• Perform and analyze cardiac diagnostic procedures, including echocardiograms, stress tests, cardiac catheterizations, and angiograms.
• Develop individualized treatment plans, encompassing medication management and lifestyle modifications suited to each patient’s condition.
• Execute interventional procedures like angioplasty, stenting, and pacemaker insertion, ensuring the highest standards of care and patient safety.
• Engage in collaborative treatment planning with a multidisciplinary team to deliver cohesive care tailored to each patient’s needs.
• Educate patients and their families on cardiovascular health, management of chronic conditions, and preventive care measures.
• Participate in clinical research and trials to enhance understanding of cardiology and contribute to the field’s advancement.
• Maintain precise and current medical records utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems to document patient interactions and care continuum.
• Commit to ongoing professional development, keeping abreast of the latest advancements and innovations in cardiology.

Qualifications

• Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
• Completion of an internal medicine residency program.

• A valid medical license to practice cardiology in Illinois.
• Extensive experience in diagnosing and managing a broad spectrum of cardiovascular diseases.
• Demonstrated proficiency in executing and interpreting various cardiac tests and imaging modalities.
• Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills, enabling effective interactions with patients and staff.
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment while maintaining a focus on compassionate care.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and research in the cardiology field.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in a concierge or house call medicine practice is preferred but not mandatory.
• Knowledge of the latest cardiovascular technologies and treatments.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range between $300,000 and $500,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
