Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive care to critically ill patients in our intensive care unit (ICU), taking charge of initial evaluations, diagnosis, treatment planning, and continuous management of patient conditions.
• Perform essential procedures such as intubation, central line placement, arterial line insertion, and chest tube placement, ensuring the application of best practices and maintaining patient safety.
• Consistently monitor and analyze vital signs, laboratory tests, and imaging results to assess the status of patients, making timely adjustments to treatment protocols as necessary.
• Collaborate with a diverse group of healthcare professionals, engaging in discussions and care planning with nurses, pharmacists, and specialists to provide seamless and coordinated patient care.
• Maintain open lines of communication with patients and their families, ensuring they receive clear updates on care plans and involving them in decision-making processes.
• Participate in daily medical rounds, case reviews, and educational sessions focused on enhancing clinical competencies, patient care strategies, and ongoing research initiatives.
• Contribute to quality improvement projects aimed at enhancing the overall functioning of the critical care department and participating in research opportunities that advance the field.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our critical care department primarily serves adult patients with severe or life-threatening conditions, including but not limited to traumatic injuries, respiratory failure, neurological disorders, and complex postoperative care. Qualifications

• Board certification or eligibility in Critical Care Medicine is required.
• A Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree from an accredited institution.

• Demonstrable clinical excellence and substantial experience in managing critically ill patients in the ICU setting.

Preferred Experience
