Key Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth patient assessments and evaluations, including comprehensive reviews of medical history, physical examinations, and necessary laboratory tests to accurately diagnose endocrine disorders.
• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans leveraging evidence-based practices, which may include medication management, hormone therapies, lifestyle modifications, and educational resources aimed at fostering patient autonomy.
• Utilize and interpret specialized diagnostic procedures such as thyroid ultrasounds, fine-needle aspiration biopsies, insulin pump management, and continuous glucose monitoring, contributing to precise treatment protocols.
• Regularly monitor patient progress through follow-up visits, adjusting treatment plans as indicated and providing ongoing patient education to promote effective self-management of their endocrine conditions.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including primary care physicians, dietitians, and diabetes educators, to ensure each patient receives holistic and coordinated care.
• Engage in research initiatives, clinical trials, and quality improvement activities to enhance knowledge and patient outcomes within the field of endocrinology.
• Participate in CME activities to stay informed about the latest developments in endocrinology, ensuring you provide the highest standard of care.
• Foster a collaborative work environment by actively involving yourself in team case discussions and multidisciplinary consultations.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of an accredited residency program in Internal Medicine.
• Completion of a fellowship in Endocrinology from an accredited program.
• Board certification, or eligibility for certification, in Endocrinology.
• A valid and unrestricted medical license to practice in Massachusetts.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of three years of experience in endocrinology or related specialties, with a deep understanding of complex endocrine disorders.
• Experience in a concierge or patient-centered care setting is highly desirable.
