Work Environment

The Pain Management Physician will work onsite within our well-equipped facility that utilizes telehealth capabilities, allowing us to extend our reach and improve patient access to care. This role is structured around a Monday to Friday schedule from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, ensuring a balanced work-life dynamic. Our hospital emphasizes teamwork, and support staff are readily available to assist in driving patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient evaluations, including in-depth medical history reviews, physical examinations, and diagnostic testing such as imaging studies and electromyography (EMG).
• Craft individualized pain management plans, integrating pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatments tailored to each patient's unique medical profile.
• Administer and supervise pharmacologic therapies, ensuring the prudent use of medications and monitoring patient responses to optimize treatment efficiency.
• Collaborate with physical therapists, psychologists, and other allied health professionals to create a multidisciplinary approach to pain management.
• Educate patients on pain management techniques, medication adherence, and lifestyle adjustments that can enhance their recovery journey.
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of clinical findings, treatment plans, and patient progress in our electronic health record (EHR) system.
• Engage in continuous education and training to stay updated on the latest advancements in pain medicine and practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Pain Management Physician will primarily work with patients suffering from chronic pain conditions, including but not limited to back pain, migraines, arthritis, and post-operative pain. Our patient population is diverse, encompassing various demographics with differing cultural backgrounds, which necessitates a compassionate and understanding approach to care.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
• Current and unrestricted medical license to practice in the state of Nevada.
• Board certification in Pain Medicine, Anesthesiology, Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R), or Neurology is mandatory.
• Demonstrated experience in interventional pain techniques and a strong foundation in multimodal treatment methodologies.
• Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems and proficient in maintaining meticulous medical documentation.
• Exemplary diagnostic skills coupled with strong communication abilities and a patient-centered focus.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of experience in interventional pain management, preferably in a clinic or hospital setting.
• Experience working within a multidisciplinary healthcare team and familiarity with integrated care models.
• Active involvement in continuous medical education and training specific to pain management disciplines.
