Northern Care Hospital is seeking a dedicated and board-certified Pain Management Specialist to join our team in Salisbury, Maryland. This full-time position is focused on providing holistic and innovative care for patients suffering from acute and chronic pain. Work Environment

This onsite role involves working in a modern facility equipped with the latest technology and resources, including Telehealth capabilities that extend our reach to patients unable to visit in person. The work schedule is from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life integration. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed assessments to diagnose and treat various pain conditions using a combination of pharmacological, interventional, and alternative techniques.
• Perform specialized procedures such as nerve blocks, epidural injections, and joint injections under strict safety protocols to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's unique needs, leveraging both traditional and innovative pain management approaches.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, and psychologists to provide comprehensive care to address all facets of the patient's pain.
• Monitor patient progress through follow-up visits and modify treatment plans as necessary to ensure continued improvement and pain management efficacy.
• Maintain thorough documentation in our advanced electronic health record (EHR) system, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards and facilitating seamless communication among care providers.
• Keep abreast of emerging practices, therapies, and guidelines within pain management to continuously enhance the quality of care provided.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to working effectively with a diverse patient population, including those with chronic pain conditions stemming from traumatic injuries, post-surgical pain, and degenerative diseases. Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree from an accredited medical institution.
• Board certification or eligibility in Pain Medicine, Anesthesiology, Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R), or Neurology.
• Possession of an active and unrestricted medical license in Maryland or eligibility for licensure.
• Proven proficiency in a variety of interventional pain procedures, showcasing your expertise.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to educate patients effectively about pain management strategies.
• Commitment to collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to achieve the best patient outcomes.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience working in a multidisciplinary pain management setting is highly desirable.
• Expertise in minimally invasive techniques and opioid-sparing strategies.
• Experience in patient education and chronic pain counseling to enhance patient engagement and self-management.

Compensation and Benefits

• Attractive annual salary in the range of $250,000 – $300,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
