Work Environment

This full-time position involves approximately 40-45 hours of onsite work per week, with flexible scheduling options to facilitate a healthy work-life balance while meeting patient needs. Key Responsibilities

• Perform and interpret a variety of nuclear medicine imaging procedures, including PET and SPECT scans, to assess and diagnose diverse medical conditions.
• Collaborate closely with radiologic technologists and healthcare professionals to ensure patient comfort and safety throughout imaging procedures.
• Utilize your expertise to analyze imaging results and provide precise diagnoses, construct treatment recommendations, and discuss options with patients.
• Maintain thorough and accurate patient records in accordance with established documentation protocols, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Engage in continuous professional development to stay current with advancements in nuclear medicine technologies and best practices.
• Participate actively in quality assurance initiatives, promoting imaging accuracy and ensuring the highest standards of patient safety.
• Work alongside referring physicians to communicate imaging findings and contribute to comprehensive patient care strategies.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or an equivalent degree from a recognized institution, with successful completion of residency training in an accredited nuclear medicine specialty program.
• Current and unrestricted medical license to practice in any U.S. state, along with relevant certifications for nuclear medicine.
• Ability to interpret nuclear imaging studies accurately and communicate findings effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with patients and colleagues appropriately.
• Adherence to radiation safety guidelines and a strong commitment to providing patient-centered care.

Preferred Experience

• Significant expertise in clinical nuclear medicine, including but not limited to general nuclear medicine, nuclear cardiology, radionuclide therapy, and hybrid imaging techniques such as PET/CT and SPECT/CT.
• Experience with administering various unsealed source radionuclide therapies, especially for patients with thyroid cancers, neuroendocrine tumors, and prostate or liver malignancies.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this role ranges from $500,000 to $600,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. We offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
