Work Environment

The Cardiologist will work primarily onsite at our Flushing facility, which combines a modern clinical setting with a telehealth approach to patient consultations and follow-ups. Our office operates Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening and weekend hours as necessary for patient care. We foster a supportive and collaborative work atmosphere, encouraging frequent interaction among cardiologists, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare staff within our practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including detailed reviews of medical history and physical examinations.
• Diagnose and treat various cardiovascular conditions such as coronary artery disease, arrhythmias, heart failure, and valvular disorders.
• Perform and interpret cardiac tests and imaging studies, which include echocardiograms, stress tests, and cardiac catheterizations.
• Develop personalized treatment plans by prescribing medications and recommending lifestyle changes that enhance cardiovascular health.
• Conduct interventional procedures, including but not limited to angioplasty, stenting, and pacemaker implantation.
• Coordinate with a multidisciplinary team to discuss treatment options, manage patient care plans, and ensure optimal health outcomes.
• Educate patients about cardiovascular health, giving guidance on disease management and preventive strategies.
• Engage in clinical research and participate in trials aimed at improving cardiology practices.
• Maintain accurate medical records in our electronic health record (EHR) systems to ensure continuity of care.
• Commit to lifelong learning through professional development activities and staying current with advancements in cardiology.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will serve a diverse patient population, addressing a wide spectrum of cardiovascular issues, from preventive care to complex interventional procedures. Qualifications

• A Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical institution.
• Completion of a residency program in internal medicine, followed by a fellowship in cardiology.
• Board certification or eligibility by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) in cardiology or an equivalent certifying body.
• A valid medical license to practice cardiology in New York state.
• Demonstrated proficiency in diagnosing a wide range of cardiovascular diseases and managing intricate cases.
• Experience with advanced imaging techniques and cardiac diagnostic tools.
• Possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills to facilitate teamwork and patient interactions.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this position ranges from $500,000 to $600,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
