Work Environment

The position is based onsite within our hospital's pediatric department, which features a friendly and inviting atmosphere for both staff and families. Our pediatric unit provides an outpatient clinic where you will engage with patients, perform routine examinations, and collaborate with fellow healthcare professionals. Working hours are Monday to Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM, with some flexibility required for occasional evening and weekend coverage, ensuring that we meet the diverse needs of our patient population.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct routine check-ups and developmental screenings to monitor the growth and health of children.
• Diagnose and treat common childhood illnesses, injuries, and other health concerns with a focus on evidence-based practices.
• Administer immunizations according to the vaccination schedule and educate parents on their importance.
• Create and implement comprehensive treatment plans for children with chronic illnesses such as asthma or diabetes.
• Collaborate with specialists and other healthcare providers to coordinate care for patients with complex medical needs.
• Engage with parents and caregivers through educational sessions on child nutrition, development milestones, and health-related topics.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient records using our electronic medical records (EMR) system.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role will involve working with a diverse patient population that includes infants, children, and adolescents. You will be responsible for addressing their unique medical needs, considering factors such as cultural sensitivities, family dynamics, and socioeconomic backgrounds. Your empathetic approach and ability to communicate effectively with both patients and their families will be crucial in fostering trust and ensuring optimal health outcomes.

Qualifications

• Doctoral Degree in Medicine (MD) from an accredited medical institution.
• Active pediatric medical license and board certification in Pediatrics.
• Completion of a 3-year residency in Pediatrics.
• Strong communication skills and an adept bedside manner to build rapport with young patients.
• Excellent diagnostic abilities and problem-solving skills to address the complexities of pediatric care.
• Ability to operate both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development, including staying abreast of the latest pediatric advancements.
• No prior board actions.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in a hospital or outpatient clinic setting, particularly with a focus on pediatric patients.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record systems to document patient care efficiently.
• Experience educating families on childhood health issues and preventive care strategies.

Compensation and Benefits

• Competitive annual salary ranging from USD 225,000 to 275,000, commensurate with experience, along with the opportunity for quarterly bonuses.
